Happy with the result (actually I'm over the moon :D) and for 72 minutes was feeling the same about the performance.
The last 10 minutes took a little bit of the shine of the proceedings.
Ill discipline and a complete lack of focus nearly cost us a game we pretty much cruised through.

Agree with DM (again  ) should have been out of sight by HT with at least double the 16 point lead.

Hearts in mouths when North charged down the line in the last minute? , I'm sure my kidneys and liver popped up too for second or two.

On to Paris next Saturday with dare I say it, a Grand Slam looming? (x2 actually http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/357951998)
I'm sure pharvey will be fervently cheering us on.

Couldn't get the link to work RZR, but assume you're talking Women's rugby? Have seen a few games which have been quite entertaining - England always been quite a force in Women's rugby.

A couple of other points regarding the debacle at "HQ": -

The boys are not likely to get a "Welcome in The Hillside"... from Wales Online: -

"In years to come, people who didn’t see this game may look at the stats and think it must have been a brave effort from an unlucky Welsh team.

After all, they only lost by four points and out-scored England by three tries to one in their own back yard.

What is it they say about lies, damned lies and statistics?

Those stats don’t begin to tell the true story of a game where Wales were comprehensively outplayed for most of the contest.

Yes, there was a late rally to bring respectability to the final scoreline and for one brief moment right at the death it looked as though they might complete the comeback to end all comebacks.

But that would have been something of a travesty and it was by far the better side who came out on top in the end, with England now one Parisian step away from Grand Slam.

Eddie Jones’ men were good, with Man of the Match Maro Itoje exceptionally good.

But until the final quarter, Wales were woefully bad.

In fact, the first 40 minutes was one of the worst halves of rugby I’ve seen from them in the Gatland era. In truth, they were lucky to have nought."

Pretty much hit the nail on the head....

And secondly, another example of the PC Brigade needing to get a life. OK, Joe Marler is and always has been an @rse and shouldn't have made the comment. BUT and it's a big BUT in my opinion, rugby is very physical and tempers flare - there was far worse on display yesterday........ and let's be fair, I think Samson Lee is big enough and ugly enough to deal with matters himself. Marler apparently apologised at half time (under duress or not who knows) and that should be the end of the matter: -

I couldn't either  . . . . and yes it was. :thumb:

Harsh but fair comment in my opinion.

Had we thrown away the game at the end, and we nearly did, we would have had to call in Quincy to do the autopsy.

Well as the women and the U20's have suffered defeats, guess it's 3rd time lucky for the main menu!

I think the day will see a thrashing in Cardiff for the visitors, a comfortable home win in Dublin and an edgy but comfortable away victory in Paris.

^ Well, a big win for Wales in Cardiff, but I'm still not happy with their performance - a couple of good points however... Ross Moriarty putting in a great display and George North well back in form. Not looking forward to a tour down under though!!

Huge congrats to Wales Under 20's on their Grand Slam - whilst very much biased, it was well deserved. England's women threw their own chance of a Grand Slam away IMO, but congrats must be given to the Surrender Monkeys...

On to the big one this evening..... need I say it again : -

I don't think anyone really knows what the All Blacks will be like this season. Some big changes and new people, plus that injury to Milner-Skudder. Wales may do ok...we'll see. Pete

Well done the Red Rose a well deserved Grand Slam - in yesterday's game their second Row were magnificent and won the game for them IMO

A win by 10 points in Paris is a good result, but, think of what the margin could have been with better discipline.
