Re: Premier League 2015-2016
Managed to watch 73 minutes of Leicester tonight. Swansea shouldn't have turned up at all. A pathetic attempt at anything football related. To me, it looked like they were throwing the game (cue conspiracy theory) ...they were that bad. Leicester were shite too... so the fact I'm turning it off and they are 3 up says something about Swansea.
If (when) leicester win the league it will be a defeat for football. A win for sluggish, sly, hoofing and booting play.
R.I.P. football.

I feel quite the opposite, big win for the football. The teams buying success didn't succeed this year.If (when) leicester win the league it will be a defeat for football. A win for sluggish, sly, hoofing and booting play.

Pretty much the same could be said about Stoke the other night.GLCQuantum wrote: Swansea shouldn't have turned up at all. A pathetic attempt at anything football related.

I agree, massive win for PL football if they go on to win the title.

I wish you guys would let me chew on my sour grapes in peace.
So last night at the awards bash...
Mahrez picked up the player of the year award. Gotta say that him and Payet are amazing signings for little money. Alli grabbed the young player award. The rat got a special prize for his consecutive goals record and last, but by no means least'...
... Ryan Giggs landed the "Wrong 'un" award for sleeping with his brother's wife.

Of course, the fact that the only other team with the faintest hope of coming top is Spurs in no way influences the renowned objectivity of you Gooners...
Let's be realistic here; I'm sure all neutral fans, as well as fans of Arsenal, Chelsea, etc., will be cheering Leicester on. I expect most neutral fans will also be delighted to see the likes of Man C, Man U and Arsenal fighting over the remaining European slots - and I have absolutely no doubt that pretty much everybody is happy to see Chelsea fighting it out for a top ten finish!

Spurs chance for the title will surely come again next season and you shouldn't begrudge the smaller clubs their chance of glory like Leicester in the Premiership and Manchester United in the FA Cup !

Exactly why we Gooners aren't to much up in arms at the spuds this season.Zidane wrote:Spurs chance for the title will surely come again next season and you shouldn't begrudge the smaller clubs their chance of glory like Leicester in the Premiership and Manchester United in the FA Cup !

To be honest it does add a bit of extra spicedtaai-maai wrote:Of course, the fact that the only other team with the faintest hope of coming top is Spurs in no way influences the renowned objectivity of you Gooners...![]()

Leicester fans must be in dreamland, 5000/1 outsiders at the start of the season, and even the most ardent spud couldn't have expected to be in this position at the start of the season.
Will there be another twist in the race?
It's still a possibility.
Yep, . . . . except Caller. . . .and I have absolutely no doubt that pretty much everybody is happy to see Chelsea fighting it out for a top ten finish!

Well, having witnessed West Brom's performance at the Emirates on Thursday, I thought the spuds were a nailed on banker for IKTS this week, and Harry was top choice for Dream Team captain.
I hope I didn't jinx the outcome

Here's the run in picture. At the bottom I think Newcastle are gone.
Coin toss for the other one, but my feeling is Norwich. Pete

Looks for sure that it's Leicesters' to loose - but at least we did as well as our big brothers and managed a draw

Re: Premier League 2015-2016
A bit of spice for next Mondays Chelsea - spud encounter. Great old footage as well. I was at the WHL game featured from the 70's, not a good day all round, the tube train broke down on the way back and we were stuck underground for about 45 minutes!

Thanks caller, some fantastic footage there. That '67 Cup final was when I became Spurs fan. Jolly nice to see the chaps shaking hands after scoring a goal!caller wrote:A bit of spice for next Mondays Chelsea - spud encounter. Great old footage as well. And the state of the pitches! Today's players wouldn't be able to cope with that mud.
And the names!! England, Greaves, Mullery, Gilzean, Jennings, Knowles (Nice one, Cyril, nice one son!**). Bizarrely, the only names that aren't familiar to me now are the names of the 2 scorers, Robertson and Saul...

And Chelsea's Bobby Tambling was my first ever cigarette card...
I was pretty upset when Sol Campbell went to Arsenal, but I absolutely devastated when Jennings made the move!
