The players are also not overpaid prima donnas - and do show some respect for the referee (if not the laws of the game at times...caller wrote:Dembele can count himself lucky, in rugby, the same offence carries a harsher punishment..

Serious question, not taking the Michael.......

Quite right too. What a shame they have allowed diving and abuse towards referees to become an accepted part of the game. By all means take a strong view on biting and eye-gouging, but let's face it, these are one-off events that are easy to get on your high horse about. Introduce a mandatory 1-minute recovery time for every second a player spends rolling around the pitch in fake agony. Introduce a mandatory suspension for every player shown by video to have gone down without contact.caller wrote: The FA don't want to see that sort of incident creeping into the game and they made it quite clear when announcing the charge that a 3-game suspension wasn't enough, so it's not really a surprise.
It's never too late.

See above. Both, though I suspect the referees are restricted by policies they are instructed to implement.
This is the way

^ i think any abuse of the referee - common as muck in Wendyball should be an instant Yellow Card, and with it a 10 minute stay in the "Sin-Bin" as it is in rugby. Not too sure if it would be as big an effect as it is in rugby, but......
Feigning injury or trying to get a player sent-off/penalised is the same and should be investigated further by a citing committee (do you have this in WB?).
These are minimums IMHO.

I think you'll find Big Sam left quite some time ago, currently managing just down the road at Sunderland.arcadianagain wrote:Today my second favourite team is Southampton, however, next week my second favourite team is Newcastle. even if the slob Allardyce is the the manager. Another of your old favourites is the current Newcastle manager, Rafa Benitez.

No predictions - just looking at the numbers.arcadianagain wrote:OK you Spuddies, last games of the season, any predictions?
The Arse MUST win and we MUST lose if you are to get 2nd
If we draw then you will still not make 2nd due to the superior GD that we have. Even playing Villa, who you should beat easily, I can't quite see you putting at least 13 goals away.
We on the other hand have a much tougher game on our hands - Newcastle are fighting relegation and of course will want to get one over on Sunderland.
All in all an interesting day of footy looms and as Greavesy always said - 'It's a funny ol' game' and it's all to play for.
It's been a great season.
Oh and by the way Zidane I'm more dissapointed than devastated. If we had not thrown away those draws at the begining of the season . it could have been a different story. Anyway - Congrats again to Leicester - at least the the Chelsk or the Mancs are not on top ............

Re: Premier League 2015-2016
If Sunderland win tonight Newcastle are down so Spurs v Ncastle should be as easy as Arse v Villa.
