Premier League 2015-2016

Post by Henry 14th »

I'm assuming that is tongue in cheek Caller?

Arsenal fans have no need to thank Chelsea for anything here.

Spurs have a very strong history of collapse, with this season's events taking on a whole new level of comedy over that of the 'mind the gap' sketch.

It was brilliant and I applaud them. I didn't think that it was even possible a few weeks ago but my oh my.

Obviously I have nothing else to celebrate this season so yesterday's events are most definitely the highlight.

The Spuds can have no excuses for putting on a display like that with the runners up position at stake !

At least fans of Manchester United had one of their few genuine moments of excitement this season, yesterday, when Old Trafford had to be evacuated due to a bomb alert ! :rasta:

A damp squib to end the season for Spurs fans, though if we'd been offered 3rd place in the early part of this season, we'd have been delighted to accept.

The silver lining of this particular cloud is that we have ensured Wenger stays in charge at Arsenal...

But does that not just mean the Arse will continue to finish above Spuds again, and again?

Don't give me any of that crap about best team in England, it's going to happen next season etc., etc. I was starting to believe it at one stage, but then losing 5 - 1 to a 10 man Championship side........................

What about England's hopes in the summer? I was starting to feel encouraged by the good vibes you guys were given out, but the 'nation's saviours' seem to have shot their bolt.

Naturally I am happy that Arsenal once again finished above Spurs, but unlike this site where the posters have a more mature outlook, some fans see the success of their team as some reflection on their own personal status. HHAD Arsenal fans are no better than HHAD Spurs fans. Or are they?

Interesting post
I have had the pleasure of meeting BG several times when he used to come with his buddies from Finland for a Finvasion at the Lodge.

That was a very moving post, Terry.

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of the Arsenal supporters on this forum, but I'd very much like to.
At the end of next season when we finish above them...

EDIT: According to rule 21c, St Totteringham's day only applies before the end of the season.

Unfortunately DM, you are quite correct, rule 21c is quite clear in it's definition :(

Fortunately, the season isn't quite over yet, with manure still to play Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.
Therefore, rise up St Totteringham, like a Phoenix from the ashes of a bonfire of spud replica shirts, soiled with the sweat and tears of the past 21 years. :D

We are now thinking like a big club and will soon have a bigger stadium than our neighbours and who cares about our neighbours anyway. Poch is right, take care of ourselves and don't worry about the rest.

WE achieved our goal of CL football and for most of the season we played the best football in the division which pleased the hell out of me. We were the only side to challenge Leicester for the title at the end of the season and the joy that gave us was more than any other team experienced. New quality players will be queueing up to join :D

What a great season for Tottenham and what great football they played. If we get anything like the joy's of this season I will be a happy man.
