Why do you drink Chang beer?
Re: Why do you drink Chang beer?
Change and Singha beer are both 5% here strong enough in my opinion.

I agree that Leo is as good or better than the other Thai beers and generally cheaper so I'm happy to drink it. Mind you I always have a few bottles of Fullers London Pride in the cupboard for when the withdrawal symptoms get a bit too much.brianks wrote:I like LEO. Lets hear it from the LEO lovers?

I have settled on Leo after the Chang Export was phased out

Interesting what you're saying about Leo. My son was a fan of Leo until the recent re-branding - can't stand the taste any longer.

Not drunk it for a few months as I'm out of country, so it'll be interesting (possibly in a negative way) to see what it tastes like when I get back.Big Boy wrote:Interesting what you're saying about Leo. My son was a fan of Leo until the recent re-branding - can't stand the taste any longer.

I haven't seen any reviews ( or complaints) about Archa beer. I haven't had one for about 3 years but it was refreshing and a good change of pace from other Thai beers when I did. It used to be very inexpensive as well. Pete

Re: Why do you drink Chang beer?
If you drink beer how it's supposed to be drunk, that is something for the working man to knock the sharp corners off your life, Leo is a perfectly adequate tipple .On the other hand, if you're one of those craft beer hipster types trying to make a statement, it probably won't suffice.brianks wrote:I like LEO. Re: Why do you drink Chang beer?
I NEVER drink Chang its alcohol content years ago was too variable. I went onto LEO and have never wanted to change - Draft Leo is even better!!

depends on whether you drink for the alcohol content or the flavor.kendo wrote:Change and Singha beer are both 5% here strong enough in my opinion.

Re: Why do you drink Chang beer?
Archa is my beer of choice after Chang changed their recipe. As DB said, it's not often available in bars - so I drink Leo when I'm out. The nice thing about Archa is that it's cheaper than the rest, and (in my opinion) has a cleaner taste than the others.Dannie Boy wrote:I agree, although it's not often served in Bars or restaurants so normally drunk at homeprcscct wrote:I haven't seen any reviews ( or complaints) about Archa beer. Both in the UK I drink Stella or SanMiguel in Thailand I used to find Chang a bit too strong in the heat of the day not a session beer. Used to give me quite a bad hangover.
I don't mind Archa but hard to find near my house in Surin province.
