Jerseygirl, basically its Dawns charity shop upstairs in the old Hua Hin shopping mall, buy your books there and support a good cause.

HHDRC

I will definitely make it a point to visit HHDRC on our visit to HH. What a wonderful charity. We were in Natal, Brazil in November, 2006 and my heart ached for all of the homeless animals we saw. Especially the cats. I am a cat owner and it was so sad to see all the homeless cats and dogs there.

Thanks for replying guys. HHDRC is Hua Hin Dog Rescue Center. We take sick & injured strays from the street, nurse them back to health & try (!) to rehome them. We also neuter & vaccinate street dogs & treat some for minor illnesses on the street. The Charity Shop has been running for 2 years and is basically a way of raising funds and a point of contact for people (they'll usually come in there instead of trekking to the center).
Visitors are welcome to the center, if anyone wants to visit, pm me for directions.
