We gave Eim Yim a try the other day and I must say we were thoroughly disappointed. I'm completely baffled by the praises this place has received here.
We ordered 3 basic Thai dishes:
1. Phad siew (40b) - passable.
2. Tom yam kung (90b) - one of the worst I've *ever* had. The soup itself tasted terrible and watered down, and, to add insult to injury, contained only 2 (that's TWO!) small prawns. WTF?
3. Gaeng Garee (80b) - bland, tasteless, horrible. Not even close to how it should be. Again, one of the worst I've had.
In conclusion - bad value, bad flavors, bland dishes. We will not be revisiting and will definitely not recommend.

We have tried Eim Yim twice and I would say it is pretty unremarkable. We had beef salad and the beef was VERY chewy, the yellow curry and som tam were ok but nothing special. But the beer was cold and the staff were welcoming.

Oh dear, what an amazing contrast. What has happened since the first couple of posts? I'd actually located it and had intended visiting at some stage in the future.

I thought it must be us so I didn't post but we went in January, ordered 3 or 4 dishes and all were just average and certainly not worth the drive out there.

I've eaten there now 3 times and have to say that I would eat only as a convenience but not as a recommendation. It is very basic at the best.
