Hi Everyone,
Sorry if this has been covered in another thread before, but can anyone recommend a good and reliable company in Hua Hin who supplies and fits burglar alarms and what sort of prices would we be looking at?
Thanks

Thanks guys for the info... I thought it must have been covered before but I was unable to find the link.
The mobile alarms from Dawn would be great if we were living in HH all the time but as we are in the UK for most of the year it would be a bit difficult, but its something we will concider when we move out full time in a couple of years.

OMG! Panicked then, Pete! Didn't get what you were talking about & wondered how on earth it'd got round that I was supplying burglar alarms!prcscct wrote:Dawn also supplies a variety of mobile burglar alarms. My mobile alarm is excellent, and he eats everything apart from dog food for some reason; but every night he sleeps against the door and if the alarm function fails to deter, he's got a back-up mode that will leave a hole in your trousers!Dawn also supplies a variety of mobile burglar alarms. Low maintenance and reliable as well,
Was looking around in Klong Thom (Bangkok) two weeks ago for something similar - you can get a basic system with one controller, IR sensor and phone dialler for about 5,000 baht uninstalled. It is a hard-wired system. The system can be added on to, with additional IR sensors and/ or magnetic switches. I think the brand name was 'Fujiko'.
A ten-channel DVR (not an alarm, and not including cameras) would run about 10,000 baht, cameras about 2,500 baht apiece. You need to wire them yourself.
A wired system is recommended due to power requirements.
If you have nothing of value in the house, don't bother. Just add a couple of timers to your lights to make the house look lived-in and the burgulars won't bother. It's a lot cheaper, too.
Stand-alone battery-operated IR sensor/ alarms can be found for about 1,000 baht or so.
