Fresh Epidemic

Post by Nereus »

A very tongue in cheek comment in "Post Bag" the Bangkok Post 22nd.
The Thai Pilots Association is arguing that allowing foreign pilots to fly on domestic routes is a threat to "national security".

The writer goes on to comment that there is a major epidemic spreading in Thailand, and it is not bird flu! It is the rapid spreading of xenophobia---the hatred and fear of anything that is foreign--

I know at least one poster on this forum that will agree with him!
:D

I remember this situation cropping up before. Can't remember exactly how long ago, but it was the same thing - only Thai pilots being allowed to fly domestic routes.
Maybe a year ago or so?
