Shopping-Bangkok vs. Hua Hin

Post by JerseyGirl »

Our plan is to arrive in Bangkok, stay overnight, then take a train to Hua Hin for 5 weeks, then back to Bangkok for sightseeing and shopping. We are not shop till you drop folks, but wondering if there are good shopping opportunities in Hua Hin.

Shopping for what? Clothes, shoes, accessories, souvenirs, art, jewellery, CDs, DVDs, computer stuff? Depends what you're looking for. HH is OK for some things, but BKK is better for others.

Bangkok everytime for retail therapy. More shopping centres, markets choice and generally cheaper prices. Do your shopping in Bangkok and relaxing in Hua Hin.

Disagree about Food/Fish prices. Hua Hin is now about the most expensive around. Can generally eat cheaper in Bankok.

Thanks for the shopping tips. Probably will do as suggested. Relax in Hua Hin, shop in Bangkok.
