PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: Garbage collectors found four human foetuses dumped among the rubbish at a housing estate during their morning collection round in Hua Hin municipality on Tuesday.
They were found at the Ruam Sook housing estate on Soi Cholaprathan 68, police said.
Housing estate resident Sitthiporn Wichai, who lives near the collection point, said the rubbish truck crew first saw the head of an unborn baby through a tear in a black garbage bag as it was being put into the compactor.
They then checked through the garbage and found two black plastic bags, each with two human foetuses.
Estate residents and other people living nearby dumped their trash at the collection point, where there were nine big garbage bins, Mr Sitthiporn said.
Pol Lt Col Samer Yusamran, deputy chief of Hua Hin police station, said investgators were checking surveillance camera footage, hoping to see who dumped the bags and to track them down. The foetuses were probably from an illegal abortion service, but such a discovey was new in Hua Hin, he said.
Garbage was collected daily from that spot, so they were most certainly dumped in the previous 24 hours.
The foetuses were from 3-8 months in development, and no organs had been removed, he said.

Is it illegal to have a baby (or even sex) outside of marriage here?
Happens a lot amongst the maid community in the UAE. Because of the barbaric laws.

This is what the anti-abortion movement in the US wants to go back to.
That and women bleeding to death because someone used a coat hanger to do an illegal abortion.

This is the result of abortion law.
Re: Human fetuses found among household garbage in Hua Hin
For those that don't already know, especially Europrat. Abortion is legal in Thailand but not publicised. Accepted reasons are similar to those accepted in the west.
I think it was two years ago that the 'abortion pill' was made legal in Thailand.
There is no reason to have an illegal abortion from a local butcher except from local pressure.
I think the rules are up to 12 weeks (1st semester) it can be carried out at a clinic but after that, up to 24 weeks, it has to be done in a licensed hospital.

You are correct HHTel, women can get legal abortions here so absolutely no need for such barbaric behavior as described in the OP.

Doctor questioned in aborted foetuses case
https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/genera ... recent_box
PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: Police on Friday searched five premises suspected to be linked to the discovery of four discarded human foetuses in Hua Hin municipality on Tuesday.
The foetuses were found in two black plastic bags among the rubbish at Ruam Sook housing estate on Soi Chonlaprathan 68 by garbage collectors during their morning round.
A Hua Hin Hospital physician confirmed they had been illegally aborted.
Two of the unborn babies, aged 6-8 months, were male and female. The other two were only 3-4 months in development and the gender not clear.
The searches were made by Prachuap Khiri Khan provincial and Hua Hin police.
The first target was Srisamai Clinic, at the entrance of Soi Chumchon Samakkhee in the municipal area.
It is operated by Srisamai Chuachart, an obstetrician-gynaecologist at Hua Hin Hospital and a former director of Sam Roi Yot Hospital.
Police said Dr Srisamai cooperated during the search of her clinic. Evidence suspected of being relevant to the case was found and she was taken to Hua Hin police station for questioning.
Dr Srisamai answered police questions and denied any involvement in the case.
Police then searched two houses owned by Dr Srisamai near the housing estate. The first is in Soi Moo Ban Khao Noi. The doctor lives most of the time in the second house, which is nearby.
The fourth location searched was a luxury house in Thung Yai Aung community in the same alley. It belongs to physician’s elder sister, whose son works as a male nurse at the clinic.
Police said several suspicious items were found at the house, including a motorcycle similar to that seen in CCTV footage. It showed an unidentified man carrying a black plastic bag leaving the clinic on a motorcycle.
Investigators also seized adult diapers and garbage bags for examination.
At the fifth location, a house in tambon Thap Tai of Hua Hin district, police took away several items, including medical records of 2,900 patients, four patient mattresses, eight blankets, used gloves in plastic bags and two gallons of hydrochloric acid.
Forensic officials said the acid can be used to remove blood stains.
All seized evidence must go through forensic examination to determine if they were used during abortions.
No charges had been brought against Dr Srisamai at this stage, police said.

One of the babies was in months 8. I'm sorry, but he or she was not aborted, she was murdered, and in my opinion, so was the one which was at 6 months.
It sickens me to think that I am forced to share this planet with such vile scum.

I assume you mean 6 and 8 months of pregnancy and I'm apt to agree with you on termination in the last trimester. However, the law states that a termination can be done up to 28 weeks.
That's 7 months pregnant and babies have been born and survived at less.

Aborting a viable foetus is always contentious, whatever age. We can only follow the law, or make efforts to change it if the majority want to.

Strange story: do garbage collectors check each bag ? I have never seen that.
