While nobody, I mean nobody asked my opinion (sniff), I still offer it. Earlier I have gone to Pranburi or even
Pechaburi for the annual inspection of my excuse for a car. I just recently found that the
closest inspection station I know of is on Canal Road South. One swings to soi 56 from Phetskasem Road,
crosses the railway and hangs a left on light. About 500 meters down the Canal Road South on left there's
an inspection station right next to Vichaiyud Insurance Co. I Was there the other day and
had a pleasant, instant service. Hope this helps even if you never asked!

I move about with an old rust-bucket, that was rejected from the WWI for being antiquated.

I think it actually predates the last ice-age.

Remember: while you do not have to have your car inspected before it's seven years old (I told you mine was old!)
you will have to have the road tax paid and you can easily do it at this place.
