Elephants, elephants, elephants

So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.

Elephants, elephants, elephants

Post by iceman »

Having been to Thailand before, I really fell in love with the elephants. But my only interaction in the tourist elephant camps is riding and feeding them at a distance. Occasionally I would run into a farmer who would allow me to stand close and take pictures.

Are there camps, farms or villages around Hua Hin that will allow full daily interaction such as close feeding, petting, washing them in the water, video filming, etc.? Do you have to pay for such an experience, especially since you are probably helping the owners out? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
