Ok. Then AFTER what happens? Article (5) states: " must remain prior to and after the PERMISSION is granted." So with a straight forward extension based on retirement, the PERMISSION is granted(or not!) on the day that you apply, which is going to be sometime before the previous extension expires.

Like all the rest of it here, it is very ambiguous and gives the individual officers the "power" to interpret the rules to suit themselves.

Not true. The permission is granted from the end of your current extension, not from the time you submitted your application. Check your 'permission granted' stamp. You'll see that it runs from the end of your current extension.

NOT TRUE goes with the territory, just as ambiguous does! I do know when my extensions dates from, it is not what I am saying!

My Transferwise transfer seems to have hit a snag this month - they are 'verifying me. Has this happened to anybody else?

I've just twigged there's a problem this month, and it will take another 2-3 days before it happens - I only noticed by luck, just checking to see where my money is.

Just a question about all of these monthly type transfers:

How do you get to show 12 months of transfers if you last transfer date is after your due renewal date? Or do Immigration accept just 11 months? :?

They accepted 5 months this year, but were being lenient. I always renew a month early, so I assume (will find out next year) that the month before my last renewal will be taken into account, else I will have to wait until the 12 months are up - no worries either way.

Good News is that after jumping through the additional Transferwise hoops, my money arrived in less than an hour, not the stated 2-3 days.

It looks as though the collective 'we' have got the message to Transferwise. Choose the bottom option when transfering your cash, and they will ensure the transaction receives the coveted FTT bank code.

I used this option to transfer money to Kasikorn, but it appears the same as the first option, coming from "DUMMY BRANCH".

I did not ask for credit advice, because I put 800 000 Baht to the account at very bad exchange rate. The last years I used the income way, but with the strong baht I dont reach 65 000 Baht/month an dthe mixed way is a bit uncertain at the moment.

It's the way the money is received into Thailand that I believe is the key factor to issuing the Credit Advice. The Credit Advice is what Immigration want to see, not so much the bank book.
