GBP vs THB
Re: GBP vs THB
Just when the pound was heading toward 42, Boris opened his mouth putting a 'no deal' back on the table, and the pound came a tumbling down!
Re: GBP vs THB
the new 20 pound polymer note will it be accepted at thai exchanges.
Re: GBP vs THB
My daughter used UK polymer notes when she was here last year. I shouldn't think there'll be any difference with the 20 pound note.

Re: GBP vs THB
Is Boris currently worse than Trump.
The pound has dropped to one dollar 20 . Just over a week ago the pound was almost a dollar 32.
That puts the pound below 39 baht, but the dollar is soaring to 32.5, the highest it's been for a long while.
Can anyone explain that. It makes no sense to me.

The dollar is the currency to go to in last resort,( as was gold once) At present there is talk that the dollar may run out so huge gains today.

The £ is at a 30 year low today How is it whenever there is a crisis in the world it's always the £ that seems to take the biggest hit!

Thanks, I saw one American newspaper saying the £ could almost reach parity with the US $ if the trend carried on.barrys wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 12:27 pmThhis article explains why pretty well:

Let's all hope this crisis dosent last too long then and the £ can bounce back to where it was before, and carry on rising ( almost 42 baht ) only a couple of weeks ago
Re: GBP vs THB
Everyone say a big thank you to me for making the GBP rise. I moved some money a week ago at 37.76 as it was on it's way down so I thought I'd better move some before it goes any lower.
Sod's law. Following my transfer, up it goes. 39.90 currently.
A rise against the dollar from a dollar 15 to a dollar 22.

Re: GBP vs THB
Sods law it will plummet due to Boris's misfortune just as my monthly works pension is due. Might be offset by the massive 24 quid extra index linked monthly rise. Ho hum.
