Firstly, I have the Platinum Package, so I guess that makes a difference. Cost wise, the difference is negligible, in fact I have 3 Platinum packages, and pay about 600฿ for the lot.

Connection and setup should be simple as the Play Box is connected in the same way as a regular Android box. Basically ours is little more than select the correct input on the TV and its all there.

After sales is not AIS's strong point in terms of home visits, but phone 1175 and they can be very helpful.
