Quite correct, Buksi. I guess if a discussion of Hong Kong's history and the handover to China is at all worthwhile, then a separate thread should be started. This one has veered way off course.

Yep, sorry somewhat off subject - Maggie, HK, China and Thailand all close to the heart for various reasons...... but still very much linked IMHO.
