Is anyone thinking of selling their golf GPS watch?

maybe they are giving up the game or injured??

sensible money, not looking to buy the absolute latest model as they are silly money....unless its cheap! haha

Alternatively where can I get a battery for my current one ( I need a PD 3032 for a garmin S3 approach)

who specialises in batteries for tech in Hua Hin....someone in Market village I guess?

embarrassed to say that the next day I tried charging watch for about the 20th time .....and it worked!
only explanation I can think of is the contacts were slightly damp as I had been swimming

you know that expression 'too good to be true'? Well this would be the epitome of that!
290 baht incl postage, surely it will be utter junk and wont work??!!

Just as a side comment. The entire Garmin system was down, and up then down for days last week. It had to do with a "for ransom" computer hack. The wife's sport Garmin, which clocks dozens of things when she runs, went completely bonkers, then off completely for a day or so.

Regardless of this recent hack, I get some yardages at Palm Hills on my Garmin (and I'm going back over 6 months) which are just flat out wrong!

Additionally(and separately) some of the 100/150 markers are also wrong by quite a margin

Which is why I use a rangefinder. Must admit that I'm not 100% sure about how a Garmin system works but isn't it really only accurate if the pins have some GPS system in? Otherwise, how can they accurately pick up yardage?

I'm probably being unfair to the system but with the rangefinder I know, within a yard, how far my shot is no matter where the pin is situated.

Just for your info and as a comparison, I've got a Tec Tec Tec one that, I think, is only available through Amazon. I've had it some 3 years now and it's excellent. Up against other models such as Bushnell it's just as accurate but maybe half the price. OK, it doesn't "Jolt" - ie vibrate - when you lock onto a target but lock on it nevertheless does.

OK, it depends on how serious your golf is whether you feel like splashing out 150 USD but personally the device is worth its weight in gold to me now.

Yes Garmin measure to front, back and middle of the green. Impossible to measure to pin, as you say. But I'm happy with that, nb as long as the yardages are correct!

I find my watch to be pretty accurate at courses here other than at Palm Hills for some weird reason!

If I want to move to laser i'll message you for more info on the Tec Tec if that's ok
