Just watching Des, a new ITV series about Dennis Nilsen, it has great reviews, and is well worth it. David Tennant does a brilliant job in it, even gets the accent spot on.

Ok understand so maybe Thai subbies will take care of that

Another one for her would be The Fall

Thanks

Ps to above...

She managed to download The Fall with Thai subbies and watched all 3 series in 3 days.... She adored it!

She can't find a link for Hidden....

By the way I'm not quite enjoying Hinterland as much as Hidden, but I'll stick with it

Des is up next for me

Speaking of David Tennant....

Staged

David Tennant and Michael Sheen (playing themselves) were due to star in a production of 'Six Characters in Search of an Author' in the West End. The pandemic has put paid to that, but their director (Simon Evans - also playing himself) is determined not to let the opportunity pass him by. He knows how big a chance this is for him and turns his attention to cajoling his stars into rehearsing over the internet. All they need to do is read the first scene, but throughout the series they come up against a multitude of oppositional forces: distraction, boredom, home-schooling and their own egos.

Really good series with great chemistry between Tennant and Sheen. Hilarious in places.

I thought Des was good but not great

The actors were very good but it somehow lacked drama and tension

What's next please?

(I don't think AWAY is for me)

RATCHED: Netflix

A sort of prequel series to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (one of my all-time favourite films). How Nurse Ratched became Nurse Ratched. I've only watched the first couple of episodes, but it looks suitably... twisted...

I know it's been around a while, and we probably have comments already, but I watched the first five episodes of Vikings last night.

A friend told me Vikings was better than Game of Thrones, and so far, I tend to agree - a much easier to follow storyline.

Really enjoying 'Kidding' at the minute. Binged 7 half hour episodes in one hit. A famous kids TV host called 'Mr Pickles' (Jim Carrey) deals with tragedy, divorce and a whole lot of other stuff.

Dark comedy/drama. I recommend.

Twisted is one word for it...... Christ. Certainly enjoyed the first episode, but definitely not the LHG's cup of tea!!

The Boys - Season 2

Season 2 premiered on Sept 4. Six episodes have been released, 2 more to go. There are many season 1 recaps on Youtube: https://tinyurl.com/yyyufc94

I downloaded some episodes from USENET and some from EZTV. Check the status of the EZTV main site and the mirror sites at https://eztvstatus.com/

Just started something called Raised by Wolves.

Its a Ridley Scott produced HBO sci-fi series in which androids have to raise children and colonize a different planet following the demise of Earth. Its a kinda mashup of Dune, Prometheus, and The Martian. Only seen one but have a feeling its going to get good ...

Good recommendation if you enjoy sci-fi. I'd add elements of Terminator and Lord of the Flies to buksi's mashup list. I'm about to start episode 6 and happy to stay with it - how are you getting on, buksida?

[EDIT: I'm still a bit worried about Mother though...]

If so, if you haven't watched The Honorable Woman then I highly recommend you do.

Same ilk...
