Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin
I was in Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin on Saturday for a minor procedure. Was told that I must take a Covid Test before the operation. The Covid test took 3 minutes with a couple of long swab sticks going up my nose - Cost 3,300 Baht

You're right thecolonel. Hotel pools in Prachuap can stay open I was told this morning. Not only does this make for an uneven playing field, business wise, but more seriously....why?thecolonel wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 12:12 pmCentara Grand in Hua Hin(PKK) open yesterday....DTHH wrote:As far as I know, hotel pools are closed (or should be) together with spa, fitness centre, sauna, steam rooms, etc. Certainly the case at mine in Petchburi, but near border with Prachuap.thecolonel wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 10:28 am Can someone please explain the logic in closing condo swimming pools but not hotel pools?
What's the difference in risk terms?
That's if condo pools even have to close? I was told they did as the wording allegedly said 'all common pools". Again surely this would apply to hotels too?
Anyone know anything?

I had similar a few months back, except that the test involved a swab up my nose, which caused a bout of sneezing, followed by a swab right to the back of my tongue, which made me gag!

Respite for some services in Prachuap. I can certainly see Massage has been given the all clear, but maybe on of the clever Thai readers can tell us the full scope of the article.

I know this is a google translate, but it seems pretty clear"
Zero active cases and we still can't have a drink outside our home!In addition, the meeting agreed to ease measures to open health establishments, spas and Thai massage, foot massage and beauty salons.
Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin
Yes, I saw that, but there was more that I didn't understand e.g. using your example, what is a health establishment? There was also something about young kids.

I understood that to be pre-school age children. i.e. Kindergartens. And the way it reads is that it will help the dairy farmers as these kids 'help to drain the raw milk from the farmers!!'
Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin
Yes of course, they have too much milk, so send the kids back to drink it and keep the farmers happy
And the health establishments?

I wonder if there will be a 50% discount for the Chinese one.

I was in Samitivej Hospital last Friday for an operation. They also a policy of a compulsory Covid test.
Difference was that their test was complementary !
