I was in Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin on Saturday for a minor procedure. Was told that I must take a Covid Test before the operation. The Covid test took 3 minutes with a couple of long swab sticks going up my nose - Cost 3,300 Baht

Can someone please explain the logic in closing condo swimming pools but not hotel pools?

What's the difference in risk terms?

That's if condo pools even have to close? I was told they did as the wording allegedly said 'all common pools". Again surely this would apply to hotels too?

Anyone know anything?

As far as I know, hotel pools are closed (or should be) together with spa, fitness centre, sauna, steam rooms, etc. Certainly the case at mine in Petchburi, but near border with Prachuap.

Centara Grand in Hua Hin(PKK) open yesterday....

Can they be open in PKK but not Phetchaburi I wonder?

You're right thecolonel. Hotel pools in Prachuap can stay open I was told this morning. Not only does this make for an uneven playing field, business wise, but more seriously....why?

I had similar a few months back, except that the test involved a swab up my nose, which caused a bout of sneezing, followed by a swab right to the back of my tongue, which made me gag!

Interesting and highlights the excessive charges by Bangkok Hospital.
I was in Samitivej Hospital last Friday for an operation. They also a policy of a compulsory Covid test.

Difference was that their test was complementary !
