New Night Club opposite Big C
New Night Club opposite Big C
Has anybody here been yet?
It seems to have been really busy so far, from the number of cars parked nearby.
It will be interesting to see if it stays busy now that BKK nightlife no longer has such strict restrictions.
What does surprise me is how they got planning permission for a night club in such a built up residential area......

Re: New Night Club opposite Big C
Before Covid, it was already a very busy night club, now new building and new name.

Yes, europtimiste is correct. The night club came before it was a built up residential area. A bit like building a house on an airport flight path, and then complaining about aircraft noise.
Incidentally, is that really a a built up residential area? I've never really considered it such.

Hi, do you mean Thong Suk up the Chomsin Road. I went last Thursday with a Thai friend, only farang in the village. Very nice atmosphere.

I think that we are talking about different places.
This new one has only just opened and is behind the Italian Ice cream place if I remember correctly.
I will check again when I go past. It is a bit crowded at the moment with the fun fair.

My apologies. It is indeed Thong Suk.
I was confused by the huge new entrance that they have just built. Sounds like they have a much bigger sound system than before too?
Not sure what you mean about the village though. Isn't this area still part of HH? And there are masses of foreigners live up this way.

Can you tell us more of what it is like? I have not been to any Thai night clubs. I thought that I was too old?Hi, do you mean Thong Suk up the Chomsin Road. I went last Thursday with a Thai friend, only farang in the village. Very nice atmosphere.

Hello, Sorry for the 6 month late reply.
I've just seen your post. From what I remember the place was low light and quite an intimate atmosphere. Lots of couples. When I said "only Farang in the Village", I was (miss) quoting from an old English comedy program "Little Britain". It meant, I was the only farang in the nightclub. Everyone else was either Thai or Asian. On the subject of new night clubs I think theres a new one opening near wonderland on soi 94 called Sugar Sugar.

Re: New Night Club opposite Big C
Mods can move this if necessary.
On the news today, it was announced that the 6 blue provinces, (PKK is one) can publicly celebrate NY Eve. Establishments can serve alcohol until 1 AM. Then there's this addendum:
The venues can have live music and the singers and horn players don't have to wear masks but the rhythm section must wear masks. My question is; are they protecting the front line from the rhythm section or the rhythm section from the front line? What about if the rhythm section players sing? Is a puzzlement. The powers that be just can't help themselves. They have to show their ignorance every time.

Unfortunately, PKK is not a blue province. It's a red one. 'Blue' in this locale only refers to HH town and along the coast to Nonkae.

Re: New Night Club opposite Big C
You're right. I was a little behind the times. Red zones are lifted from Thursday. That still leaves PKK in an orange zone where alcohol is still banned. The only blue zone is as I said - HH town stretching along the coast to Nongkae.
