What's the temperature up there?

I didn't have a thermometer with me, but nicely air conditioned.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
I assume she received a Sinovac shot. Have you seen any evidence that a 12 week gap between doses of the Chinese vaccines is effective. Originally advised 2 weeks apart then was extended to 4 weeks. Some countries have extended the gap to 4 - 6 weeks but I don't think there's any data regarding a 12 week gap which is way way beyond the recommendations, even from China.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
OK, I take that back. 12 weeks for the AZ is absolutely fine.
Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
My wife had hers too. Very efficient. Quick registration on 9th floor then up to 10 for shot. All complete within 10 minutes of arriving, then the 30 minutes observation period.Big Boy wrote:Mrs BB has been for her jab, and I can only compliment Hua Hin Hospital on a very efficient operation. I know they've had a little bit of practice recently, but it couldn't have run smoother. Well done.
2nd dose 14 Sept.

^ I hope they both handle it well.

Thanks. So far nothing. Not even any swelling. She said she hardly felt the needle.PeteC wrote:^ I hope they both handle it well.
Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Same for Mrs BB. However, my eldest granddaughter and a few of her friends had AZ last week. It took 24 hours for the effects to show. My granddaughter was quite ill for 3 days, and one of her friends was actually admitted to hospital. All are well now, and in fact administering the vaccine themselves starting today.
I'm led to believe reactions in younger people to AZ can be quite severe because their bodies react faster and fight the vaccine initially.

I would be very careful not to receive AZ vaccine if they are on birth control pills. Several issues in Europe related to this!

Mrs BB is a bit past that, but thanks anyway
As for my Granddaughter and her friends, they are medical staff, so I presume they know the risks.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
My other half had the AZ vaccine the Sunday before last and was fine initially, but then had a couple of days of not feeling well and a painful lump appeared on her arm where she was inoculated. Yesterday, that lump seemed to dissipate into a larger area of redness with a few lumpy areas. She was due to see her Doctor after work, in case it was an infection, as she found the area around the initial lump very itchy, but she didn't go as it's reducing in size and the redness is fading.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Yeah, Mrs BB is starting to complain about a little soreness where she was jabbed tonight, but she is the same after any injection in the upper arm, so not unexpected. I'm monitoring her temperature/blood pressure regularly - all OK.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
My wife just reported a feeling of bugs crawling down the arm under the skin (formication - had to make sure that didn't auto correct
). Might just be tiredness.
The Mo Phrom app has an aftereffects reporting function available the day after injection. We might use it tomorrow.

Yes, I read that yesterday, which is crazy when Sinovac has been used to vaccinate/create herd immunity in Phuket.hhinner wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 8:49 am According to a report on the Thai Enquirer a senior (unnamed) doctor reckons Chinese tourists vaccinated with Sinovac shouldn't be allowed into the Phuket sandbox.
