You may have heard he word "pretties" referring to the girls that promote products at motor shows, shopping malls, fairs, pubs, parties, etc. In Thai they refer to their job as PR. Here's a link to an old post which includes a diagram of infections and clusters. It seems the PR girls are still spreading it around a bit.

Thank you for that, so it is Public Relations. I hope they recognise themselves as PR, because I showed that poster to a few Thais, and not one could tell me who it was aimed at. I must admit, I am surprised i.e. you used to see these girls almost daily in places such as Market Village, pushing something or other. I can't remember seeing one of the 'pretties' for many months, so I guess I've dodged a bullet if they're all riddled with Covid

I think that "PR" has been involved since Maya pub. There would have been a lot of those girls at that concert and we have the Thonglor set to thank for bringing the virus down to HH.

This is one for the clever people...................

By my interpretation, we are now under curfew from 9pm until 4am, and inter-provincial travel is dead.

Can somebody please confirm?

For people who follow covid stats.....

My question is......

In Thailand, are Thai nationals(or immigrants from neighbouring countries eg Myanmar) *more likely* to get covid 19 than 'Western' farangs in Thailand?

Has any research been done on the relative populations and cases thereto?

If any such data exists please pass on

Thanks

We have contacted the Tessebahn, who confirm the curfew for PKK.

No mention of enforced curfew for PKK in that official notice. Just lots of warnings about travelling to and from red zones.

Edit: curfew is for dark red zones:

Not the way it's being read here, and the Tessebahn have confirmed it.

You know I can't read Thai, so I can't comment. In this case, I'm only the messenger.

It maybe a Hua Hin thing then (which would make sense), certainly no curfews where we are at the arse end of the province!

Irrespective of whether there are curfews or not, I’m assuming there will be no restrictions in travelling between Cha Am (Petchaburi) and Hua Hin (PKK) - I’ll find out tomorrow because that’s my plan!!
