First semi-final of the day has been a cracker so far! Sabalenka came out all guns blazing but young Fernandez pulled herself back in it to take the first set to a tie breaker.

Emma could be waiting a while to get on court at this rate...

Holy smokes, what a match! Fernandez definitely a crowd favourite now and will be the one backed in the final. Though Emma has been great, I've not seen her reach the level of tennis that was on show just now. Brilliant game from the 19 year old.

Quarter to feckin' 3 in the morning! Get yourself out on the court, Emma! :D

Yep, the girl done good. Who'd a thunk it?

Her game's not quite perfect though. I'm reluctant to mention it, but she definitely needs to work on her toss.

Shit, am I really going to have to start watching women's tennis?

Nonsense, I was being perfectly serious. And I know whereof I speak, for I'm something of an expert. In fact, this seems to be widely acknowledged, as wherever I go I hear comments whispered admiringly behind my back such as "What a tosser!"

British teenager Emma Raducanu's history-making US Open final against Canada's Leylah Fernandez will be available to watch on network television after Amazon Prime agreed a deal with Channel 4.

The match, which is due to start at 21:00 BST on Saturday, 11 September, will also be live on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Amazon's Prime Video streaming service has had exclusive UK broadcast rights for the final Grand Slam of the year.

But a deal has been struck with Channel 4, with Amazon pledging to reinvest that money - believed to be a seven-figure sum, according to the Press Association - into British women's tennis to help fund the next generation of players.
