"An England rugby union player has been arrested on suspicion of the rape of a teenager.

The player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was held on Sunday following the report of an attack at a nightclub the day before.

He was arrested, and a 41-year-old woman was also held on suspicion of administering a substance with intent to cause a sexual offence."

Complete and utter farce - but far worse are the 28 - 0 wins awarded. Zero consistency, just cancel the tournament for God's sake. The cost to clubs/Provinces has already been horrendous with isolation etc. - look at the costs (not only financially) incurred by Cardiff and Scarlets after the mayhem in South Africa (PRO-14)!! :banghead:

Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup Games Postponed in December Have Been Cancelled

"Seven matches across the Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup which were postponed in December because of French government travel restrictions have been cancelled.

They will be classed as 0-0s, with teams getting two match points.

Tournament organisers EPCR had hoped to play the games at a later date.

But it said, "in an increasingly complex fixture calendar due to Covid-19, it was regrettably decided the only choice was to cancel the matches".

"The round two matches were initially postponed following the unforeseen introduction of new travel measures between the UK and France which resulted in EPCR being unable to obtain assurances that existing cross-border travel exemptions for players, club staff and match officials would remain," added EPCR.

Games called off because of Covid outbreaks remain 28-0 defeats for the side who could not fulfil the fixture so Montpellier's win against Leinster stands, as does the victory awarded to Racing 92 over Ospreys and Bristol's win over Scarlets."

Oh, to get back to normality - listen up you @rsewhipe anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists!! :neener:

So at the last minute, France relax their Covid restrictions, Scotland and Ireland do the same and Wales "say" within 2 weeks dependant on Covid spread (so still not exactly sure of full crowds).

It's complete arse quite frankly - days before British Clubs playing in France, weeks before the Six Nations. Puts UK clubs/provincial sides travelling to France in difficult positions for this weekend - way too short notice. Certainly hoping all matches will now go ahead, but who knows....

Not quite the short notice for the 6N, but (in Wales at least) masses of preparations to do with the likes of travel, policing et. al - and still, the Labour Muppets that is Welsh Government could call crowds off at the last moment.....

Tonight at least, Cardiff vs 'Quins goes on!! 8pm KO :thumb:

Hopefully the 6 nations will have home teams playing at home, not having to play away.

As a Welshman, any game at (the now) "Principality Stadium" is amazing - similarly for an Englishman at "HQ"

The match for the Welsh, is always against the Lillywhites, wherever it may be!

Dire straits for Wales, injuries galore and idiotic constrictions with the "60 Cap Ruling" - yet still Pivac and Co. fail to see the need to look forward and still pick a bizarre squad.

No, I'm not making excuses, but like many other Welshmen likely have the lowest expectations for the 6N and Welsh rugby in general for years. Wales will finish 4th at best this year, but most expect 5th - as long as we can beat the "Pasta Munchers"!!

We are without 8 British Lions and more, pushing 1,000 international caps of experience! Yet Dullard Pivac refuses to bring in youngsters (in general), picks FOUR Flyhalves (WTF?) and has missed the point of preparing for the RWC entirely.... TWAT :cuss: :banghead: - I shall take all back when we win the whole thing!

Whilst I dislike Eddie Jones with a vengeance, he has picked an extremely good squad IMHO for the 6N and looking toward the RWC and the future..... Bloody Lillywhites!! :banghead:

Ireland looking very good also - Scotland not too far behind.... Really!

Anywho, can't wait!!
