DM and lindos downgrading Wales and professing the Lillywhites as champions... Pah! Wales as usual will take care of all - Ireland or France for second, who knows? England (if lucky) 4th, followed by the Sweaties and the Pasta Munchers...

My Gypsy-like predictions have now been made!! :thumb:

I've got Ireland (sorry Pharvey), England and France this first round. The only one I hesitate about is England. The Scots could well do them in IMO.

As an FYI, Super Rugby Pacific starts on February 18. Televised on Star Sports and the Rugby Channel in many areas.

Well, unfortunately you're likely correct Pete - Wales have a silly list of injuries and Ireland have been incredibly good (National and Provincial teams)...... As a Welshman however - I'll stick with the team as I know they'll give everything!!

Scotlatland vs the Lillywhites could be interesting - I'm sure you know what result I'm looking for! Will be interesting to see a "New Look" team arriving from "HQ"......

France vs Italy..... Well, pretty much a forgone conclusion - Georgia deserve a chance to get in to the 6N. Perhaps not an automatic "Promotion/Relegation", but at least a "Play-off".

Hope all enjoy - It's the best tournament in rugby!! :thumb:

Thanks for that Pete - I'll see where I can stream (for free - paying too much as it is!!). :thumb: :D

This could be a bit dodgy our captain and May injured not good, we will have to hope for a good result. Scotland a bit unpredictable.
Of course we all know you secretly want England to win. :duck:

Well, teams named - I think Wales are going to have serious issues in the tight/lineout due to an understrength front 5. Also midfield is a concern - Tompkins at 12 is certainly a great attacking player, but makes far too many mistakes in defence for my liking. Josh Adams is great on the wing both in attack and defensively - but he's being played out of position at 13.
If we can get enough good ball, we'll make a game of it.

Scotland vs England: Farrell being out could well actually benefit England IMHO ( ), but they'll certainly miss Courtney Lawes. Sam Simmonds at Number 8 will please many - including myself, he should have been a regular a long time ago.
England have brought in several new players whilst Scotland have gone for a very experienced team. Quite honestly, with home advantage and experience, Scotland are in with a chance of nicking this one.

France vs Italy: No comment, Georgia deserve their chance - promotion/relegation should be brought in.

Year after year I weep for the Italians, not just in this tournament. They must have a very strong mental constitution, or love the game beyond imagination.

I'll try to look it up later, but I wonder how many rugby fans there really are in Italy? Skeletons in seats by now.

They're actually very well (and passionately) supported Pete as I've seen first hand. Wales went through some very dark times themselves in the 80's and 90's being on the wrong end of a multitude of hidings (the worst being from the Lillywhites   ) - passionate (beit unrealistic at times) support has always been there though.

A proper supporter will always be there. have supported Crystal Palace in many leagues going up and down Bath I used to go to some of there home matches years ago and still support them now. Those who switch teams are butterflies, they flitter everywhere.
