Just finished it. Dunno what the bad reviews were for, I thought it was really good! Great movie for the ol' cinema screen in the VR headset.
8.5/10
Eternals
I watched it the other day. I love my Marvel Universe movies so I don't say this lightly, but I thought it was awful! By some distance the worst of the franchise. It was slow, soppy, predictable, lazy and way too long.
I wouldn't give it more than 5/10, and that's when I'm in a generous mood.

Still not watched it, but much like you DM "did" enjoy the Marvel (anything) Movies. They just seem to be taking a whole new direction these days. That damned "New Generation" are obviously pushing us out!!

Have to agree….
Disjointed and way too woke for my liking.
King Richard. The story of Venus and Serena Williams. And the mother and father who pushed them to the top. Cracking biography of their early years in tennis. Really enjoyed this.
Found one on Netflix yesterday called "Songbird" - its not a keeper, but a scary look into what could be our future if the pandemic continues.
"In 2024 a pandemic (Covid-23) ravages the world and its cities. Centering on a handful of people as they navigate the obstacles currently hindering society: disease, martial law, quarantine, and vigilantes."

Really thought provoking.
Agree here, both Hopkins and Olivia Coleman are brilliant in this. Best movie I watched in 2021 by a long way.

Right, such a scenario would seem pretty absurd 3 years ago, but now it is a distinct possibility in the next couple of years especially in the more autocratic countries.
