Re: The Rugby Thread
We need your feel Pharvey re Scotland in Cardiff for the day? I think it will be tight, as will Ireland vs France, but the Irish I think take it by 9 or more. England is in Rome so that in itself gives Italy some points, but not enough to be sure IMO.

Re: The Rugby Thread
Well, pretty devastating weekend for Wales last round, but tonight the Wales Under 20's have bounced back from a 53-5 defeat against Ireland to steal 26-13 win over Scotland, Ireland take a single point 16-17 win over France and England...... a 0-6 LOSS against Italy!! WTH

Well, of course tonight was the Under 20's, tomorrow and Sunday, the "Seniors".
Wales vs Scotland - Of course I'm biased, but not happy with the team selection and TBH I'm about as clueless with the Welsh tactics as the management are...

France vs Ireland was/is going to be the match of the tournament. Both teams on fire, but France at home and Sexton out injured for Ireland..... I think France will take it (just).
Italy vs England - Really impressed with the way Italy played against France, but they were out of their depth against even an underperforming French side. England played a pretty chaotic game against Scotland but regardless, they'll be too strong for Italy (unfortunately

Hope you get to see some if not all

Yes, TRUE on the Rugby Pass channel is televising it all this year, U20 on replay, Seniors on Live. It all depends upon the time and my erratic sleep habits!

Oh, I can relate, but wherever I've been in the world, I will always try and follow Wales (rugby or otherwise), beit TV, Cable, Internet, Radio or insight from the locals...... It's a curse!

Re: The Rugby Thread
I agree with pharvey's predictions apart from the Wales match I put Scotland to win by a small amount (that was the brain thinking) however I would prefer Wales to beat the Scots. The England match fairly predictable I hope. The French I think will win but I hope not.

Re: The Rugby Thread
Oops - just realised I've stuffed that up for you by giving the scores!!

I feel the same, but without Sexton and with it being in Paris and French tails up, it's a big ask for an Irish win.....
The seniors following the U20's result would be quite amusing though..... Well, for non-Lillywhites anyway

Enjoy the games!!

Re: The Rugby Thread
I got the French result right. That was a cracking game to watch. Best game so far.
I got the Welsh result wrong, Dan Biggars kicking was good, but thy were only playing 14 men for the last bit.
Cannot see them beating The French or the English.

Re: The Rugby Thread
Oh come on - don't play the 14 man against lucky Wales (win) malarkey... BTW, Scotland were lucky to have just one Yellow - debatable refereeing again - Wales also should have had a Yellow, but that was 2 seconds to go!!

Re: The Rugby Thread
Hmmmm... Quite frankly it's still too early to tell IMHO. The top 2 I think are nailed in however, but 3,4,5 are up for grabs (could well be points difference for a couple of teams). As always I'm very biased, but The Lillywhites vs Wales could be a key match dependant on England's reaction to the loss against the Sweaties - I don't think there'll be much insight to gain from today's match against Italy though.lindosfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 6:48 pm Looking at the matches so far I think the final table will look like this

Wales will be fired up after their win against Scotland, but even more so because it's England. I hope this will be an advantage rather than a hinderance!
With Italy still to play, both Wales and Scotland "should" be pretty much guaranteed 2 wins (points difference).
England should certainly win today, but no guarantees against France, Ireland or even Wales.
"IF" Wales beat England, we could be looking at 3rd!! I did say I was a very biased Welshman!!

Before the tournament started, I was thinking 1.Ireland, 2. France, 3. England, 4. Wales, 5. Scotland, 6. Italy.
Again, too early to tell IMHO but at a guess (hopeful for Wales' position): -
1. France, 2. Ireland, 3. Wales, 4. England, 5. Scotland, 6. Italy
Enjoy today's match!!

Re: The Rugby Thread
Good summary, I agree the Wales - England match is a decider, for me the unknown is Scotland. We agree on France Ireland, hopefully though that will change not keen on the frogs winning.
