There's many articles written about it your side if you search his name, but they all seem to say, " tackled while scoring a try...." The man who made the tackle must be in bits.

Have seen various reports, but no details other than he was injured in a tackle - as you say, all involved must be distraught.

Re: The Rugby Thread
I find this one quite amazing. Here is a top rugby team being taken over for the cost (or less) of one Premier League football player, and the deal includes the stadium as well!
Saracens complete £32m takeover deal with consortium of investors
https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/60408132
A consortium including South African World Cup-winning former captain Francois Pienaar has completed a £32m takeover of Saracens.
Kimono House Limited has bought a "controlling stake" in the group, which owns the club and their StoneX Stadium home.
Saracens Mavericks netball team is also part of the group.
Nigel Wray, the club's owner for 26 years, retains "a significant minority shareholding".
The club announced the takeover in October and confirmed it had been completed on Wednesday.
Pienaar, who led the Springboks to victory at the 1995 World Cup, made 44 appearances as a player-coach for Saracens.
Marco V. Masotti, the owner of South Africa's Sharks rugby team, is also part of the six-person consortium.
Other investors include Dominic Silvester, Neil Golding, Nick Leslau and Paul O'Shea.

Oh, there's certainly a discrepancy with Rugby and Wendyball finances....

One comment that did make me giggle though.... "a significant minority shareholding" - what in the world does that mean??!!

Whizzy wizzes off......
Well, it made me smile anyway!!

"A mascot who drove off with the match ball at a Super League match, instead of delivering it to the centre spot, had her family "crying with laughter".
The six-year-old, known as Whizzy Rascal, was meant to take the ball out in a mini BMW before Warrington Wolves' win against Castleford on Thursday.
However, she drove straight past the referee twice, leading to much laughter around the stadium and on social media.
Her aunt said her appearance "has really given everyone a good lift"."

Re: The Rugby Thread
Well the French played extremely well, deserved to beat Scotland.
England v Wales the first half was dire, the second haf the Welsh I thought were the better team. Looking at the standard of play we were watching the 2 teams finishing 4th and 5th not sure in what order though.

Well, the Welsh were absolutely dire in the first half - however, to go in 12-0 down and the Lillywhites tryless (with +/- 70% possession) says something though.lindosfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 5:33 am Well the French played extremely well, deserved to beat Scotland.

The Welsh lineout was erratic to say the least and I thought it was simply a complete cockup in that area for England's try minutes into the second half.... BUT a touch of foul play by Itoje has come to light - telling in the end it seems. Even so, we can't play at this level with such a poor lineout and expect not to struggle - a major problem for Wales.
Wales did well in the scrum for a fair while, but very evident we have a significant problem with strength in depth as we were mullered by the Lillywhites when the bench/replacement frontrows came into play.
A vast improvement by Wales in the second half - Cuthbert and Faletau absolutely outstanding... Still though, I have zero idea what Wales' game plan is - it's doubtful the coaching team do either!!

Yes England won, but they were outscored 3 tries to 1 when they had more possession. How in God's name then was Marcus "Wendyballer" Smith awarded "Player of the Match" as he is supposedly the Golden Bollocks Playmaker? Yes, he's very talented, but complete and utter hype at the moment over this guy.

And yes, the ref was absolutely sh*te!! Though admittedly his decisions stuffed just about everybody..

As for the match in the Highlands - unfortunately I missed a lot of it but truly feel for the Sweaties. Some cracking performances (Rory Darge - in particular), but they were simply outclassed by a superb French team riding high at the moment. The Grand Slam is theirs to lose...

As for the final table - points difference is going to come into play lindos, not much doubt about that IMHO. Wales, England & Scotland looking for 3rd, 4th or 5th. Wales need to avoid an absolute hammering by Les Bleus - hey, you never know, we might even stop their Grand Slam

Re: The Rugby Thread
I think the chances of you beating France are minimal. You should have beaten a very poor England side. Not sure why the standard of rugby in both teams is so bad. I hink a change of managers is due.
