Not heard of that one. Sounds very interesting though and some decent actors.

First two episodes of billion dollar series Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power are out. I'll 4k this one I think.

Enjoyed the first 2 series of Big Sky, looking forward to S03.

Lord of the Rings... now, I'm a massive fan of the books, first read when I was 11 and read umpteen times since. Also enjoyed the Cameron films very much. I wasn't convinced by ep 1, mainly because of some very weak casting and the fact that they made the Halflings/Hobbits Irish. I mean, all that was missing from the leprechaun stereotype was the green hats. What idiot made that decision? Ep 2 was much better, so hopefully as the scene-setting is done with, the improvement will continue.

Who is the mysterious 'man who fell to earth' in ep 2? My money's on Gandalf...

In the early 1990s, Boston was rife with violence. Police corruption and racism were the norm - and then it all changed in what was called the "Boston Miracle." In this fictional account, Assistant District Attorney Decourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge) comes from Brooklyn and forms an unlikely alliance with a corrupt yet venerated FBI veteran, Jackie Rohr (Kevin Bacon). Together, they take on a family of armored car robbers in a case that grows to involve, and ultimately subvert, the entire criminal justice system of Boston. imdb.

Not usually a big fan of Kevin Bacon but he really is excellent as Jackie Rohr.

i watched S1 when it aired first in 2019 and enjoyed it but couldnt really recall it
your post alerted me to S2&S3
so i rewatched S1 and probably enjoyed it even more as id forgotten most of it
Directed by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, and Kevin Bacon is quite superb in his portrayal of Jackie Rohr

This was released 12 months ago so may have already been commented upon.

Nine people check into a luxury US retreat to deal with their issues.

Yet again, my assessment of a series is that it had a good production, very good acting but an overall poor storyline. And could've been so much better.

Simple as that! Disappointed 6/10

Kidman was excellent yet again, living legend that woman. And no, I don't fancy her! But they'll rave about when she's gone. Great actress.

Watched this 3 part drama last night based on true events in Tunisia in 2015.

I thought it was fair effort but somewhat lacking in real quality. 6.5/10 for me

Been watching the Thai Cave Rescue series on Netflix which appears to be a pretty good portrayal of how events and the rescue unfolded. Some of the acting is a little questionable but I guess that is normal for Asian productions.

I watched it while in the UK and I’m sure it would have been a lot better had it been condensed by 50% - it was too drawn out.

Too much of it to make it watchable for me I'm afraid. Some of it was like village amdram in the UK.

A bit of a mixed reaction to this one in the press but I was thoroughly gripped(and moved). Kenneth "Hammy" Branagh does a decent Boris and a great performance by the actor who portrays Dominic "spawn of satan" Cummings.

This England...Follows the events surrounding Johnson and his government in the face of the first wave of the global pandemic.

Just finished this Danish crime drama from last year on Netflix.

In terms of the plot it's nothing we haven't seen the likes of before, in all truth, but it's otherwise a very good production.

I recommend it. 8.5/10

I also just finished it also and really enjoyed it. They have a 2nd season coming up.
