Depends what you are looking for and where. You could get a nice two bedroom condo at the far end of Khao Takiab for 30,000-40,000.
Small studios closer to the 15,000-20,000 mark.
If you’re interested in the former option, I have a few neighbours who lease out. Quite area few hundred yards from Takiab beach. 15-min walk to catch the green Baht bus into town.

I think those prices would scare him off!

Many condos with studio rooms available for under 10k, especially in the Soi 94/102 area.

Many condos with studio rooms available for under 10k, especially in the Soi 94/102 area.

I don't mind paying 15-20k for a nice place. But a decent one for 10k or less would be great as well.

Not advertising, but our 2 bed, 3 bathroom (dethatched) place with "plunge pool" is leased out at 15K per month - I'm guessing therefore that the 30-40K price is a tad high.

Sorry no, as mentioned not an advertisement - just a heads up regards to prices. It is out of town mind you - closer to Black Mountain Golf.
