Rock up

Post by buksida »

Does anyone know where one can acquire some decent sized rocks? Are there any stores or places to get them around town? I guess most people will use them to decorate their gardens but I want a couple for the aquarium.

Yeah I had considered that option too.

And finding a nice garden already full of them

Buksida, past Hua Hin hospital on the left theres a place that sells chunks of rock and marble for the garden, but with the prices they charge I'm sure a local beach would be an option.

Hi Buksi
How big? We've had a couple of truckloads delivered to start building a slipway and certainly wouldn't miss a few of them.
You can pick them if you want or tell me what you need and I'll drop them off when I'm passing thru HH.

Thanks for the offers (rocks from a man called Stone, I like it!), a couple of those big (say about a foot long and wide) white marble looking ones would be good, nothing too big that one person cant lift easily, the top of the tank is nearly 6 foot off the floor!

Got a couple today driving back from Takiab there was a little shop on the left that sells them, they had a pile of unsorted ones out the front. Went in and roused the old fellow who came out, scratched his head, and said "i don't know what to sell them for, just take a couple and be gone!". So I did, gave him a hundred baht anyway, he seemed pleased.

Big Oscar finally went off to the fish tank in the sky so re fitting the tank for new inhabitants now.
