On my second attempt I got to the stage where you had to press something fast. At this time of night and after a pool match, I am not particularly fast anymore.

Well, as I said in the OP, I passed the test on my first 3 attempts - I am a confirmed idiot

Maybe the secret is copious amounts of alcohol first
