Wanderlust wrote:I must have been talking to the same bloke - he also said that as part of the deal they are going to replace all the drains in the area and train the local constabulary how to control traffic as well as doubling their salaries. Also the complex will include a first class international school and university, both of which will charge half of what existing schools and universities charge, and the fees include free entrance to the theme park.
Training the local constabulary wouldn't be needed. The tunnel that is going to take Phetch Kasem Road under the Disney canal will be doubling up as a Hua Hin by-pass. Hua Hin's traffic problems will simply go away. I know that it is due to go underground just before the Airport Tunnel, but I was wondering Guess - did the bloke in the pub tell you where it will surface again?
Obviously the only way to travel South will be through the tunnel ie the main road will end at the Disney canal.
Far too many questions to answer her but I'll have a go at a couple. Terry should be clued up on the fish stock situation.
As for parking and SUVs and general traffic planning is concerned it is all happening. There will be special spaces women only SUV spaces that are three times the length and width of the largest SUV.
The traffic police had done the deal with The Disney Company and they will all be fitted out with the latest Mickey Mouse uniforms.
As for the Pattaya link I was led to believe that it was some kind of hydofoil gismo that changed into a monorail craft after hitting land.
The whole complex will be powered by solar panels and methane gas obtained from the adjoining Elephant and Buffalo reserve.
My guess is that some of Thaiksi Chinwanka's frozen assets will be thawed and put to use on the project.
As for the Swedish Weather Girls Point Stick Man Erikson, I can't see how he can buy Villa and get them to play at Black Mountain. Are you sure it wasn't the Black Country?

With all of this new construction work, is there any chance that the taps wont rotate when you turn them on, the drains wont block and stink to heaven when you flush the pan, and that you can plug something in without risk of causing a meltdown?
BTW - I've also heard that a 1km high office complex (to rival Taipei 101 and the Petronas twin towers) to house the boys in brown teaching academy is also on the agenda. It is understood that the finance for this megastructure is to be obtained from the interst accrued from the 'fines' deposit account. The building will be styled to like like a bottle of Black Label.
Don't know if JW has been consulted re copyright though.
I find it hard to beleive that the guy in the bar failed to mention the intercontinental tunnel that will link the mega-complex to mainland Europe, and the UK via a connection to the channel tunnel.
