Orchid Bar

Post by Luxrebel »

I haven't been in HH since March, I hear there is a new bar on Bintabat called the Orchid. Anyone frequent it? What is it like?

Must be a name change. It is near the 7-11 I think on Bintabat. Probably a small bar.

I am newly registered here, but have been viewing for about 3-4 years.

Cheers. Heard she had a problem a while back. The cashier may have tried to overcharge a farang and all the girls left in protest.

Orchid bar...yeah,was Banana bar,I thought it was bought by a group of girls from U-turn bar, with one lady being the mamasan, now no more lady-boys, the lady
thats running it does seem to be very short of girls at the
moment, and today I heard it has been sold again! (only been under
this ownership since Songkran). the plot thickens...

If this low season is as bad as it's shaping up to be, I wouldn't be surprised if the high season tourists don't see any of the girls they knew before some 5-6 months from now. Pattaya is the same, they're leaving in droves as no customers. To where I don't know, Bangkok/Phuket, or maybe a visit home. Pete

Key money would depend on the lenght of lease, monthly rent would be 30 to 40000 baht i reckon.

If my mate's info is correct, then the bar was bought for 2 mill. with
only 1 years contract on it and will be at least 40k/month.Now I hear the bar is still in the ownership
of the same people who have the 'Mai-Tai' nr the Hilton. All a mix-up to me and my pickled brain.

So in that one year you have to make 210,000 BHT per month to pay for the rent. This means sales of drinks have to be about 420,000 BHT per month, every month before you think about paying staff.
if you got ten bar fines every day, that would ease the burden, but still it would be an impossible task.

Under the Banana Bar regime at its height it did not take anyway near that.

Can anybody explain to me how this can possibly work.
