A 70-year-old, extremely wealthy widower (I'll call him Bob), showed up last night at Crawfords Cha Am with a breathtakingly beautiful and very sexy 25 year old thai girl, could've been 'Miss Thailand' with her youthful sex appeal and charm. She was gorgeous. She hang onto Bob's arm and listened intently to his every word.
The guys at the bar were all open mouthed in awe.
When she went to the toilet they cornered him and asked, "Bob, how did you get the trophy girlfriend?"
Bob replied, "Girlfriend? She's my wife!"
They were amazed, but continued to ask. "So, how did you persuade her to marry you?"
"I lied about my age", Bob replied
"What, did you tell her you were only 50?"

I think we talked before that age differences are not that big a deal in Asia. In China, more than Thailand, an older man achieves huge face among his peers to be seen arm and arm with a young lady.
If we get around to "what's the lady really thinking..." side of things, of course the security of the relationship weighs more than the physical attraction. Unfortunately, many of these girls will find themselves in a covert relationship with a Thai boyfriend sooner or later. Sometimes accepted and sometimes not by the farang husband/boyfriend.
I think it can be said though that if a man is kind and takes good care of the lady, regardless of his age, he'll find plenty of affection and caring coming back at him also. If she doesn't reciprocate, it should be obvious within a short time into the relationship that she is simply a gold digger with a questionable Thai heart. Pete

I congratulated a Thai gentleman on his lovely wife. A nice lady who is always kind and friendly to me, so I thought I would get her some kudos with her husband by telling him so.
