What's the attraction of living south of Hua Hin?

Post by PeteC »

In the same vein as the Cha-am thread, how far south of Hua Hin do you need to go to get the same shopping, restaurants, beaches and attractions that Cha-am has?

I don't think there's anywhere near as many shops or restaurants in Pranburi, although Pak Nam Pran probably brings the numbers up a bit.

I don’t know Pranburi very well, but it does have a fairly large Makro there - haven’t been for 10+ years so it might have been updated but back then it was looking fairly shabby!!

There are lots of restaurants, bars and accommodation on the coast road from Pak Nam Pram, down to Sam Roi Yot beach, much more so when north of Khao Kalok, and also inland, but more spread out. An 'expat' bar used to advertise in Pak Nam Pran, but I have no idea where they were/are.
