The photo offers a glimpse of an empty white-sand beach, azure waters, and the barely visible roofs of buildings immersed in a lush landscape of trees. “We are eager to welcome new guests to our resort in Thailand.”...

While Mike White, the show’s creator, was undoubtedly drawn by Thailand’s natural beauty and welcoming people, the Thai government also significantly sweetened the pot. The financial details have not been disclosed (HBO did not comment), but last year the government approved a plan that increased the rebate for international productions to 150 million baht......

I've read sooo many reports heralding the announcement of the 3rd series of White Lotus being filmed in Thailand and that the tourist agencies are over the moon about the scenes that will highlight the natural beauty of the country...Ahem..Are they not forgetting something here...?
Are they not forgetting the theme of these programmes..?
Let's see now, Series 2 has a pair of local prostitutes blagging their way into a high end hotel, Sleeping with/bonking all 3 generations of the same family, whilst using their credit cards to pay for goods & garments from expensive shops in the locality, & blatantly signing for services within the hotel itself..Well, there will be no shortage of native 'ladies' that can perform that act in an award-winning manner...with or without any cameras rolling or a big thumbs up from the TaT...

Was thinking the same, the show is very risqué so if it is aired in Thailand, all you'll see is a screen full of pixels since its themes and content violate many of the ridiculous laws in this country and will give the Thai censorship war room a heart attack.
