After last Saturday's refereeing incident Sukhothai vs Ratchaburi, which has resulted in the referee being charged with cheating (VAR was useless again), it's happened again.

Last night's Ratchaburi vs Bangkok Utd VAR clearly shows the Bangkok Utd player as being offside, but the goal was given.

Ratchaburi should be safe, but the Sukhothai cheat could affect many of the teams at the bottom i.e. the 2 'cheated' points (and I don't blame Sukhothai) could be crucial in the relegation battle.

I have been looking at that myself and wondering. The photo has been published claiming foul, and I do remember the ball going to the wing before going back into the middle to score. I will double check with the highlights, but I definitely know where you are coming from. If it's the guy in the middle, who scored, he is onside. Will check for sure tomorrow.

I've done a Big Boy review of the goal, and unusually, I agree with VAR, they got it right on this occasion. It was the player on the edge of the penalty area.

However, there was another VAR review when a penalty was awarded to Ratchaburi, and then taken away again. Having reviewed that footage, I think that VAR decision was wrong.

If VAR decisions are black and white, with no indecision, fine, let it continue, but VAR creates as much controversy as the old fashioned referee before it. 2 consecutive weeks Ratchaburi have had points stolen from them because of VAR. Hopefully Ratchaburi are safe, and those stolen points shouldn't matter, but if I was a team chasing safety, I'd be furious at 2 extra points awarded to Sukhothai. Likewise, if Bangkok Utd win their game in hand, the 2 points gained because of the incorrect penalty decision, they will go back to the top of the league again. Surely, this is the mess VAR should be preventing, not creating.

I'm most definitely in the 'VAR is an Arse' camp.

The inquiry into the referee's cheating in the Sukhothai match is complete. The referee has received a ban for the rest of the season. However, Sukhothai retain the 2 points they didn't win. If Sukhothai survive relegation because of 1 or 2 points, I would imagine the team that finishes in 14th place will be less than happy.

This season's Chang FA Cup semi-final draw:

This means this season's final will definitely feature a T3 side (same standard as Hua Hin City) against a T1 or T2 side. Quite incredible.

It makes you wonder why teams such as Hua Hin City don't enter.
