We scheduled our monthly Cha Am visit to avoid Songkran, hoping for the usual peaceful stay. We figured this weekend wouldn't be too busy. Boy, were we wrong.
Although our condo is, as usual, mostly empty, the beach at noon today was jammed with cars parked all the way down to the south end. Ruamjit (the beach road) had heavy, holiday-style traffic. When we cycled to breakfast this morning it was dead empty.

I guess people are escaping the Bangkok heat.
Cha Am Beach Jammed Today
Re: Cha Am Beach Jammed Today
How did you end up spending your day despite the unexpected holiday crowds like how did you manage to find some quiet spots or activities to enjoy despite the bustling beach and traffic?
Re: Cha Am Beach Jammed Today
We generally only go in to Cha Am beach for breakfast, coffee (me only) and lunch. Even when it's busy, those are doable. Afternoons, when the beach is most crowded, we stick to our condo.
