I'm in, if I only knew what the predictor entails?. Bigboy needs another member of the Green Army for moral support. :thumb:

Something I hadn't thought about, but this really impressed me when I came across England's Championship Football Stadiums yesterday. I had never considered how many top class stadiums there must be in England. I had always considered Home Park to be quite an asset in the Championship, yet it is the 3rd smallest. Most of the stadiums look quite modern as well. Please remember, this is England's 2nd tier stadia.

The Green Army's support is still amazing me. This week's pre-season friendly against a lowly Torquay United is a complete sell out.

It amazes me because I remember the days when we failed to fill a 12 seater mini-bus for away games.

Wayne Rooney's arrival has done nothing to quell the enthusiasm of the support. In fact, talking to family earlier this week, despite his reputation, they are very impressed with the man so far. Personally, I still need to be convinced.

I've been to 9 of those grounds, shows you how low Chelsea were once upon a time.

I'll bet that like me, most of those stadiums are unrecognisable now when compared to the stadium you visited.

Don't do Chelsea down - many of those stadiums have featured in the top tier at one time or another.

Chelsea 2-2 Wrexham

Friendly in the USA. Pharvey, you should adopt Wrexham as your team. They are becoming famous!

Well, some of them are completely new. When I went to Middlesbrough, they still played at Ayresome Park, so I didn't include them.

Yes, I'm the same with at least Sunderland, Hull, Middlesbrough, Cardiff and Swansea. A couple of the others have changed so much, I'm not sure if they've modernised on the same spot e.g. Home Park, or are complete new stadiums.

Rooney creating 'competitive environment' at Argyle

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/arti ... g3j30zr3xo

Wayne Rooney is creating an environment where Plymouth Argyle can thrive according to defender Nathanael Ogbeta.

The 23-year-old was the first signing the Pilgrims made after appointing Rooney as head coach and says he has been impressed by the former England captain.

"He knows the pressure of what it's like being a player and I feel like he's creating an environment for us to make us feel as comfortable as we can," Ogbeta told BBC Radio Devon.

"Football's a high pressure sport, but he knows what sort of an environment to create to make it easy for us.

"I feel like we're growing and we're learning every day - there is stuff that we need to work on and stuff we need to get better on - but there's a culture of learning rather than trying to be perfect straight away.

"We're trusting the process and I feel like that's allowing us to be free and to try things."..............

Oh, I've kept up with them for a couple of years - not normally a great fan of "sports docu-series" outside of things like the British & Irish Lions Tours, but the "Welcome to Wrexham" show has on the whole been pretty good and lighthearted. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14674086/

They get the obvious stick for having two Hollywood stars behind them, but to be fair they've both done great things for both the club and city.

They were home of the National team a few times whilst the Millennium Stadium was being built. I've been there a few times - not a nice place (on the English border?), and the beer tasted awful.

Oh dear god, BB, did nobody warn you what they do to the beer in Wrexham when playing an English club?
This is the way
