You won't do better than AA Insurance viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15249 . Just give them a call and see what they can do.

I second that - we’ve been insured with them since 2011 and never had any issues - one small claim that we made was dealt with efficiently.

I agree 100 %

Thats the reason, why I am looking for members who had no problems in case of claim.

The question should be . . . . and what was your claims experience with said insurance company?

If all someone is doing is paying premiums that really does not count for much.

In which case I've never had to claim on house insurance. However, AA were extremely helpful with claims for health and motor. In fact they definitely went the extra mile in helping under very difficult circumstances. On one occasion they resolved a problem from their home late on a Sunday evening when a local hospital would not release my son because something had gone wrong. I don't know any agent that would go anywhere near this level of service.

I’m not aware of any other local insurance agent that gets such good praise as AA - if there is somebody out there then let’s hear about them, if not then AA would be my recommendation

Thank you again. Its nice and helpful to know that this insurance is taking responsibility after signing the contract.

AA made it. Today I signed the contract.

I never was working with brokers. How sure it is, that broker are doing an insurance for me and not take the money like in a snow ball system ?

I asked for, what insurance will do the contract, but the answer was: „if you have a problem or question, tell us..“

Getting a contract can be simple. But after reading the clause and the amounts refunded from at least 10 different firms, none had an amount to fully cover the cost of the house or the belongings inside. Some more or less covered the cost of the house but had many restrictions for belongings like no insurance for any "portable electronic device" that could be anything and nothing. Those giving good coverage of belongings did not fully cover the house. Not to mention the hassles. One company first asked for all photos of belongings. Then asked for individual purchase invoices. Then said there was a difference between possession from what was fixed on the wall like the aircon, another difference between heavy furniture et another for music instuments or electronics...to make it short, still shopping around and the local brokers could not give a satisfying coverage. Thinking of looking at some firms back in Europe who give coverage for holiday homes abroad....
