Got a friend coming over soon and he is wondering whether Golden Virginia rolling tobacco can be bought in Hua Hin.
If anyone has any suggestions and how much it might cost, it would be appreciated.

I would just buy and bring it from the states. Can be purchased online and shipped in USA. I always bring over a good sized bag in my carry on bag to last the time I’m in Thailand. Just put it in a clear plastic ziplock bag. If TSA or security at the airport checks they see its tobacco and put it back in the bag. Customs in Thailand could care less about personal use tobacco even if it is slightly over the limit, that’s if you happen to get stopped at the declaration customs area at Bkk. I have never been stopped out of 40-50 times in the last 15 years.

You can get it here, but it's expensive. As mentioned, tell him to grab some in duty free on the way over. I bought a box of it over the last time I went through Dubai, a fraction of the cost and nobody checks on arrival.

There is a tobacco shop just down from Father Teds as you go towards the beach. I bought some Golden Virginia in there. It was about 75% cheaper than uk prices. 2300 baht for 250g
