Re: Football (not Premier League)
Totally agree BB, I like you was very much against his appointment in view of some of the other managers we were interested in. I even had the thought of not renewing my Argyle TV subscription for this season, but in the past when we have had though times I still attended games watching them play in the bottom tear of the FA league. But myself and my father never gave up hope. Now is a time I am hoping again for some success and progress, Rooney might prove us all wrong, as you say he will not be under the pressure to do well as much as say for example the Sunderland manager considering their fans expectations. They were totally gutted after the result Saturday. Now we have to go again against the new league leaders. COYGs.

That man Harry Kane is in the headlines once again - after a poor showing at the Euros, he seems to have found his form again - some of his statistics include,
Top English scorer in Champions League or European Cup history with 33 goals in 45 games, passing Wayne Rooney's old mark of 30
First English player to score four goals in a Champions League game
First English player to score a hat-trick or more for a non-English team in the Champions League
First player to score a hat-trick of penalties in a Champions League or European Cup match
Scored his 50th, 51st, 52nd and 53rd Bayern Munich goals - in his 50th appearance for the club
Netted the 24th hat-trick of his career, the fifth time he has scored back-to-back trebles (or quadruples)
Scored his ninth goals in five games this season for Bayern - as well as two in two for England.
Let’s hope he continues to shine, next time he pulls on a three Lions shirt!!

Yes, I'm particularly pleased for him considering how difficult Spurs are finding it to score at the moment....

Lol, just switched the footy on. Forgot about it, "Christ, be funny if they're losing."...
82nd minute Coventry 1 - 0 Tottenham. Twice they could have scored another while I'm typing this. Disastrous for Ange this. They're singing the "Tottenham get battered, everywhere they go..." . Coventry.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
I had to tear up my post-game rant. We somehow managed to sneak a win against a much better (Championship) team. There should be red faces all round in the Spurs dressing room.

FFS, here we go again. With the exception of Southgate's apprentice, this has been happening to Plymouth's managers for years. The head hunted managers always go on to fail at their new club, because it is a management team at Plymouth, not just one man.
After the disastrous start to his managerial career, he needs to hang around a bit and consolidate his position. Be sure, he is no more than a small cog in a much bigger wheel at Plymouth.

They can't possibly be talking about Manchester United, can they?

Probably. He was spotted there a couple of weeks ago. He won't have much of an act to follow.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
If he does move on very soon, it would be no surprise to me as an Argyle supporter. We are always treated as the stepping stone. Hope he can stay for the full season though. I think the chatter about him being the next Man U manager was somewhat of a joke, however we're talking about football management, anything can happen.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
Seriously, he is part of a good management set-up now, where he can easily re-build his reputation. He shouldn't need the money, so why would he accept the poison chalice for a few months. His reputation as a football manager should be restored first, and he's in the perfect place to do that. If he can't do it at Plymouth, he isn't going to do it anywhere.
