Just got back from a theatre trip.
I go mainly during school trips, but have the odd occasion I treat myself (or someone treats me). Always such a bloody great experience, it had me thinking...
Have any of you found good theatre experiences (we're not talking the cinema here, of course) in Thailand? Is it something you miss or never enjoyed? I know this is right up our beloved DM's alley with him being an amateur thespian in day's gone by (if memory serves me DM?).

Re: The Theatre
A really high-quality production of Aladdin is what we watched today. Though I don't remember Santa and his elves being part of the story in previous viewings...

Re: The Theatre
Language question (Sorry! Off topic.). Lost's post about watching a play sounded a bit strange to me.
Watch vs see.
Colloquially in British English we can watch a film/movie on TV, but don't we see a film at the cinema? And don't we normally see a play at the theatre?
Go watch a play OR go see a play?
Go watch a movie OR go see a movie? Or maybe either is OK?

For those in Hua Hin, Patravadi school actually puts on some decent plays in their theatre. Owned by the famous Thai Actress Patravadi Mejudhon, some shows there are worth watching if you get a chance. Assuming they're still doing them, it's been a while...

Re: The Theatre
Actually I think watching is fine. It's just that I haven't been over there for 30 years so just wondered if usage had changed. And haven't watched a play since then. Cheers.
