RIP Denis Law
Sad news today about Denis Law. He was my second favourite Manchester united player of all time. I started going to watch matches at Old Trafford in the early 1950's. My favourite player was of course Duncan Edwards, I've never seen a player as good as he was since. I saw him play many times. In the 60's Denis Law joined United and what a player he was. Of the 3 great United players of that time (Best, Law and Charlton), Denis Law was my favourite, followed by George Best. Bobby Charlton came a distant 3rd. This was mainly because he used to lose the ball a lot. Denis Law was always fully involved in the game and not just a goal scorer like Jimmy Greaves. He could jump amazing heights to head a ball and he certainly knew how to find the net from anywhere in the penalty area. He always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. United badly need someone a tenth as good as he was now!

Re: RIP Denis Law
Agree that he was a great player and a key member of the Utd team that achieved glory in 1968 winning the European Cup - tough and fearless too. I’d have a different pecking order of the 3 stars at that time but don’t want to detract from his sad demise. RIP Dennis The Menace!!
