HH golf festival again this year?

So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.

No confirmed dates but it usually runs throughout the month of august, more info here:

I have been told that although it is running this year, that the organisers want to only target it at the Thais, so all promotion and promotional material is in and to the Thais, so I don't know if any farangs turn up at the courses they will get the special rates. Apparently the head honcho behind it doesn't like farangs, something I have heard all too often in the last year or so about higher profile Thai people. Whether that info is correct I can't absolutely confirm but it came from a pretty good source.

The golf festival offers great deals, i think that Black Mountain will offer a deal at around 1000 baht also (not confirmed yet).
Anyone who has not played Kreang Kracham should give it a whirl, lovely scenery and a bloody good test - it measures 7300 yards from the back tee - doesnt actually play that long as there are some hard dog legs - its about 50 minutes drive from Hua Hin, make sure you take someone who knows the way - it isnt the easiest to find.
