Please don't splutter 'nonsense'; it actually does make you sound like an duffer of an old colonel!

I was talking about reviews, not viewer opinions, which you are quoting.

"The White Lotus, Sky Atlantic, season 3 review: A wickedly funny, caustic bin fire of the vanities" - The White Lotus season three is a boundless pleasure, sumptuous to look at and easy to recommend. It’s just that it’s the same pleasure, give or take a few thousand miles, as series one and two.

So The Daily Telegraph likes it.

Rotten Tomatoes too. And they quote US critics:

Is The White Lotus still must-see TV?
The White Lotus is the best show on television!
— Joshua Ryan, FandomWire

[This] might be my favorite season yet of The White Lotus.
— Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com

The White Lotus Season 3 continues the streak of great television.
— Tessa Smith, Mama’s Geeky

The White Lotus shows no signs of slowing down. If anything, it’s even more incisive and blisteringly funny than before, but also a whole heck of a lot darker.
— Joonatan Itkonen, Toisto.net

The third season of The White Lotus lives up to the show’s previous work, while perpetuating some of its established weaknesses.
— Garrett Martin, Paste Magazine

The fare may be slightly less mouth-watering than last time but, trust me, you will still want to gobble it all down.

To be fair, after the 1st episode my initial thoughts were "meh" but the tension and intrigue mounts with each episode. I'm now hooked on it.

Just finished watching This City is Ours. Not bad but I really can't stand the Scouse accent lah :duck:

And here's me thinking all Scousers were comedians and well behaved football supporters and not drug dealing scumbags  :naughty:

What constitutes a good TV programme is probably similar to what makes a good pie - we won’t all agree, but I’ve really enjoyed This City Is Ours, despite the scousers accents (in fact the problem is more my fading hearing than the accent itself). Have the final episode to watch tonight and I’m expecting it not to disappoint!!

Have watched the conclusion of the White Lotus season 3.

Unlike online magazines who get paid to give good reviews, then I find myself agreeing with the masses of reddit users(and other online actual viewers) who felt this season was poor and nowhere near as good as season 2.

Extremely disappointed.

I've yet to watch it but obvs I will.

The Daily Telegraph and Rotten Tomatoes aren't paid to give good reviews, bad shows often get panned for sure. They liked it.

No matter, anyway I leave a bad review if I think a show is a stinker, but never two or three for the same show! :D

I've forgotten how Season2 of TWL ended but S3's finale is never to be forgotten. 90% of IMDB viewers agree and a larger viewing audience than Season2

Well, I'm guessing the link was meant to be be https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radi ... nding-ever - it wasn't difficult to find from the initial post.

As for Trump, I couldn't agree more.. But that's for another Thread

Thought I'd give Severance another go after giving up on it the first time, its still very slow though and almost bin material again.

However, new seasons for the Handmaid's Tale, Last Of Us, and Black Mirror are now underway, so plenty of new material.

I thought both the premise and execution of the first season of Severance was very good, the second lost my following after two episodes.

It's the usual story of introducing ridiculous characters and scenarios to try to invent more interest (a goat pasture complete with rolling hills in a large office, and an actress playing straight but comically badly as a goatherd, for laughs I guess?), instead of being able to sustain the series' theme in a logical way while still suspending reality. That's the trick to keep even semi-intelligent viewers satisfied for more than a few hours.

At least Lost had me for four seasons long ago, before I felt the ludicrous outweighed the novel.
