Another Newbie!

Post by swanks »

Hi Guys :thumb:
I just thought I would say hello! I am a Brit who has been living in Pattaya for the last four years but I am arranging to move here with my family.
It really is more like the Thailand that brought me over here in the first place.

I would just like to say I have a very irreverent sense of humor so please don't take offence at anything I post. It is just in fun.
I managed to join the vastly growing band of the 'deported' from pattaya secrets board for laughing at the Yank owners and not taking them seriously but I do promise not to mend my ways at all here in any shape or form ! :D I am still more than welcome on the other Pattaya boards and have some good mates on them , so I can't be all bad!

Cheers

What propted the move from Pattaya. Is there much of a difference in the cost of living ?

Pattaya

Post by swanks »

I'll be honest and say I still like Patts a lot . I have some good mates there and the nightlife is just amazing for the ex-pats who live there. Not walking street which is a bit of a tourist trap but Soi6 and Soi Buakhao where the locals congregate !

I am still keeping my condo there but I have just bought some land to build a house on so I can bring my 1 year old son up here instead of there with the kids into guns , drugs and gangs.

I first came here on one of the lads outings  a couple of years ago and liked it then.
Since getting here this time with my family I have found the Fallang I have met to be really nice people and have found a couple of casual drinking mates already.

It is more expensive than Pattaya but that might be because I'm a newbie .
Once you know your way round a town a bit more then you don't usually pay 90Bt for a bottle of Chang! :cuss:

Cheers lads
and thanks for making me feel welcome

Fair play Swanks and welcome. I'm sure you are right about being a newbie in town, just as I'm sure that once you have settled in you will find things more down to earth.. including your chang.
