derek,

That question is huge.

With respect, I think you might have more success if you actually gave a bit more information regarding what you are considering eg what are the pros and cons of a particular type of accomodation; and does anybody have any constructive comments on a particular area (or several areas)?

Delicately and diplomatically put, Big Boy. Derek, BB is absolutely right. Presumably you know something about the area already, or you wouldn't be considering retiring here. Anyway, have a good look at the vast number of threads on this sort of question, then ask something a bit more specific!

Retiring to Hua Hin

Post by derek »

Thanks for your reply.

Apologies for such a broad question. I will try to give a bit more detail and hope this will help.

We would like to visit Hua Hin in a few months and look at some condos. We wanted to focus on area/condos that were most suitable in our limited time there.

We would be interested in min 2 bed 2 bath costing 7-10M Baht [I hope that's feasible!].

So we would like any particular or general recommendations [maybe a specific block, or an area].

Also any to avoid [run down area, poor build quality etc].

I hope that helps. Or please let me know any additional info I should post.

Thanks again

Derek

When we retire we will apply for retirement visas, but we won't have these at the time of the trip.

We retired here 3 months ago. Have small house which is good, in an OK area. Like others said, come over, look around is the best bet. Check different estate agents, some are good some mediocre. A good one is worth its weight in gold.
Feel free to email me if I can be of any advice (based only on our experience).
